Theatre Intelligence, Inc. ("Theatre Intelligence," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our network monitoring platform and related services (collectively, the "Services"). This policy complies with the GDPR. For detailed GDPR information, see our GDPR compliance page. Our cookie practices are covered in the cookie policy. For full legal terms, review our terms of service. Questions? Contact us.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, subscribe to a plan, contact our support team, or otherwise communicate with us. This may include your name, email address, job title, company name, billing address, and payment card information (processed and stored by our PCI-compliant payment processor).

We automatically collect certain technical data when you interact with our Services, including IP addresses, browser type and version, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, timestamps, and session identifiers. This data is used to operate, maintain, and improve our platform.

Through your use of our network monitoring agents, we collect telemetry data about the equipment you choose to monitor, such as projectors, audio racks, PDUs, automation systems, and TMS installations. This operational data belongs to you and is processed solely to deliver the Services.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide, operate, and improve the Services; process transactions and send related notices such as purchase confirmations and invoices; respond to your comments and questions and provide customer support; and send you technical notices, product updates, security alerts, and administrative messages.

We may use aggregated, de-identified data derived from monitoring telemetry to improve our anomaly detection models and industry benchmarks. This data cannot reasonably be used to identify you or your organisation and is never sold.

We do not use your data for targeted advertising. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Data Sharing

We share your information only in the limited circumstances described below. We engage trusted third-party service providers who process data on our behalf under contractual data processing agreements. These providers include cloud infrastructure providers, payment processors, transactional email services, and customer support tooling. They may not use your data for any purpose other than providing services to us.

We may disclose information if we believe disclosure is in accordance with, or required by, applicable law or legal process, including lawful requests by public authorities to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. We will notify you of such requests where legally permitted.

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice on our website before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain account and billing information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Upon termination of your subscription, we retain your data for a period of 90 days to allow for account reactivation or data export requests.

Monitoring telemetry data is retained according to your subscription plan. Starter plans retain data for 30 days; Professional plans retain data for 12 months; Enterprise plans retain data for up to 36 months or as negotiated in your order form. After the applicable retention period, data is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.

5. Security

We implement and maintain industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure, or access. These measures include AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit, role-based access controls, multi-factor authentication requirements, and regular independent security assessments.

Theatre Intelligence maintains a SOC 2 Type II certification. Our security programme is described in more detail on our Security page. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no security system is impenetrable and we cannot guarantee the security of our systems with absolute certainty.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you; the right to object to or restrict certain processing activities; the right to data portability; and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, please submit a request to [email protected]. We will respond to your request within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the Services, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors interact with our website. For full details on the cookies we set and your choices, please review our Cookie Policy.
